Fellow Profit-Hungry Investor:
Making money in the stock market is
extremely hard and most investors fail to achieve the performance
results they desire. Investors love to chase past performance and they
do so without thinking about what can really happen to their portfolio.
The biggest reason people under perform the
market is because
they do not have a system or process that
protects them from themselves.
For more
than 25 years, I was a successful trader, stockbroker, and investment
advisor. Today, I’m semi-retired and pretty much do as I please managing
my own money and the equity portfolios for just a handful of investors.
I also spend a fair amount of time writing and speaking to audiences
about my experience.
You Must Have a Process
What set me
apart from other portfolio managers in the industry was the strict set
of trading rules that I developed. This simple process has helped me
outperform the market year in and year out AND I can do this regardless
of the direction of the stock market, interest rates or the dollar.
This process, my 5-Step Investment Process, is the formula I use to
manage my own account.

As an
industry insider, I had the opportunity to study and experiment with
every investment style imaginable. I was looking for a way to make money
in every conceivable market environment.
I want to be able to make money in all types
of market conditions regardless of the direction of the stock market,
interest rates, currencies, gold, oil, and etc.
The
Intelligent Trader is designed for investors who are looking for:
Absolute Return. In today's
world, absolute returns make absolute sense. The Intelligent Trader’s
portfolio is designed to provide you with "Absolute Return" versus
"Relative Return".
Growth Oriented. Our portfolio
can’t be pigeon holed as growth, value or a blend. I like to think of it
as Growth with a Twist. To be successful, you need to have an
edge and once you have once, you need to exploit it using stocks and/or
exchange traded funds (ETFs).
Active Management. The investing
landscape changed forever on September 11, 2001. The age of "buy and
hold" is “dead and buried”. For many investors, Hope and Pray is their
primary investment strategy. We don’t believe in that nonsense. We hold
our positions for as long as the conditions warrant which is anywhere
from a week to one year. We are not day-traders! Every one of our
positions is managed according to our proprietary
Five Step Investment Process.
Multi-Directional. In keeping
with our commitment to making money in any market condition, the
portfolio can be either "long" or "short" up to 100% of assets. Today,
"long only" is only half right.
Multi-Style. Experience is a
great teacher and history has taught us that the market is too dynamic
and diverse to be locked into any one corner or segment of the
investment universe. So, instead of waiting for returns to come to us,
we actively seek out the most favored markets, sectors and individual
stocks or ETFs.
As a
subscriber here’s what you can expect:
I. You get unfettered access to My Personal
Long/Short Equity Portfolio. This IS NOT a “model” portfolio
or a “sample list of stocks” – it’s my personal stock portfolio.
These are trades that I AM DOING IN MY OWN
ACCOUNT.
You get a
front row seat to the good, the bad and the ugly.
II. Advance Notice Emails and Faxes
– When it’s time to make a trade, I’ll send you an email (or fax)
telling you what I am about to do. I do this BEFORE I make the trade in
my own account.
III. “The Long and Short of It” –
Each week, I’ll send you my e-letter that summarizes what’s going on in
the stock market, what’s working, what’s not and why.
IV.
The Intelligent Trader and
Selling Stocks Short blogs.
I write two different blogs. The Intelligent Trader is about trading in
general. It’s irreverent, opinionated and simply about what’s on my
mind. The other, Selling Stocks Short, is more specific, deals with the
art
short-selling and making money when the market goes down. (Please
note: Intelligent Trader recommendations are NOT discussed on the blogs)
Learn as You Go
It doesn’t
matter whether you’re a sophisticated investor, an occasional trader or
a novice just getting ready to make your first trade. In order to be
successful, you need to master a process. By making trades along side
me, I can help you become a better investor by teaching what I have
learned over the past 2 ½ decades.
Investing
isn’t easy. If it was, everyone would be successful. The market’s a
tough place to make money and it’s getting tougher each and every day.
Look, I’m
not going to insult your intelligence by guaranteeing you pie-in-the-sky
profits like newsletters do. My track record speaks volumes. Nobody can
predict what’s going to happen next. If they can, it’s just a lucky
guess.
What I can
guarantee you is this. The trades I make are real. They are done in a
real portfolio. There will be gains and pains. The results are real.
There’s no fluff. And if you absolutely want a guarantee, I’ll give you
this …

If at any
time you decide that your subscription to The Intelligent Trader isn’t
right for you, just let me know and I'll put a check in the mail to you
for the cost of your subscription - no questions asked.
Read the
above paragraph again. There’s no one else giving you that kind offer.
The Bottom Line
The bottom
line is this - By showing you how I invest and walking you through the
whys and whatnots of what I am doing in my own account, you’ll learn
that to be successful you need to have a process that gives you the
opportunity to make money in all market environments regardless of the
direction of the stock market, interest rates, or the dollar.
That’s
about it.
Subscribing
through PayPal is really easy. Just click on one of the two options
below. Most people choose the quarterly option, but if you want to
save a few dollars, why not opt for the annual rate? With the guarantee
that I’ve outlined above, you don’t have anything to lose – now do you?
